Dave’s Deli first opened its doors in 1989, and is best known for being ‘Home of The Original ¼ Roast Chicken’ in Malaysia. The Delis are named after founder, David Chin, who saw a market niche in Kuala Lumpur for good, wholesome deli meals with universal appeal. Dave and his wife, Maureen, worked tirelessly in their home kitchen experimenting, taste-testing and creating fresh new concepts and flavours before launching their first outlet at Bangsar Shopping Centre, KL. In many cases, it was the first time Malaysians had ever experienced such dishes. The bold taste and innovative style of ‘fine fast food’ dining created a huge demand from customers looking for comfort food that is sourced and cooked the right way.

Today there are 12 Dave’s Deli restaurants in Malaysia and 1 in Sydney, Australia.

Our innovative approach to fast fine food dining offers a high-quality range of home-style dishes served in less than 10 minutes at great-value prices. Attention is put on design aesthetic, ambience, and quality food that is similar to higher-end establishments without the formality.

Although we are a self-service restaurant, we believe our customers should not feel like they have to sacrifice good customer service when dining with us. Therefore service staffs are still an important component of the dining experiencing, taking drink orders and servicing tables.

All our food is made on site and features Dave’s original slow cooking and marinating techniques, along with his secret blend of herbs and spices to put the emphasis on bold flavours and taste. This is comfort food that is sourced and cooked the right way.
