Dave’s Deli was founded in 1989 and is best known for being ‘Home of The Original ¼ Roast Chicken’ in Malaysia. The Delis are named after founder, David Chin, who has a passion for creating good wholesome meals. Dave and his wife, Maureen, worked tirelessly in their home kitchen experimenting and creating fresh new concepts and flavours before launching their first outlet at Bangsar Shopping Centre, KL.
The popularity of Dave’s Deli has seen the brand grow to 12 locations around Malaysia, including Kuala Lumpur and Penang. Sydney was selected as the first venue outside Malaysia, with Dave’s Deli opening in the Tank Stream Hotel in January 2018, in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.
With dishes featuring Dave’s original slow-cooking and marinating techniques, our approach to “fast fine food” dining offers a high-quality range of home-style dishes, served quickly in Tank Stream Hotel’s elegant yet casual bistro styled restaurant.

Dave’s Deli’s signature 1/4 roast chicken features chicken marinated in a secret blend of 8 different herbs and spices for 24 hours, then perfectly roasted through a special combi-method that retains the natural juices of the meat along with the flavours of the marinade. Served with coleslaw, roasted vegetables, mash and topped with our ‘magic’ gravy.
